We are pleased to say that after several months of planning, we have now have the contractors on site at Chorlton Park Tennis courts carrying out the agreed upgrade to the courts. This upgrade is is in addition to the courts this week being repainted at Alexandra Park and Wythenshawe Park and then several more sites being upgraded across the city in the coming months.

Once completed the courts will look great and will undoubtedly sure will attract huge interest.

Alongside the casual play we will also have a number of programmes being delivered by our partner We Do Tennis who will be offering weekly sessions for juniors and adults of all abilities across all sites.

Once the upgrades have been completed we will be implementing a charging model for some but not all sites, however for the sites with a charging model there will still be large proportion of time that will be bookable for FREE.

We will continue to work with our partner We Do Tennis who will be offering a variety of programmes for all ages and abilities.

For the chargeable sites the weekly offer will include a number of options, Free, Peak & Off-Peak time. The charges will be £4 per court per hour at Peak time, £3 per court per hour at Off Peak time.

We will also be offering an Annual Season Ticket at £40 per year, this will allow the owner to book 10 hours per week for a maximum of 2 hours per booking. For the sites with flood lights, the booking system is connected to the lights, and these will be activated when the natural light is not sufficient. Courts can be booked daily from 6am with the last booking being 8pm with a 9pm closure. Income generated from the courts will be ringfenced as a sinking fund and support with annual and ongoing maintenance of the courts ensuring the site is fit for purpose for many years to come.
