THE MANCHESTER AND SALFORD CEMETERY CYCLE TRAIL

Manchester and Salford Friends Groups have worked in partnership with bereavement services to bring you a cycle trail through Manchester and Salford's cemeteries.

As well as being places of reflection for those visiting loved ones, cemeteries are beautiful green spaces for all to enjoy, and this 32.8-mile circular route around the city centre takes in eight in Manchester and Salford:

1. Blackley Cemetery & Crematorium
2. Philips Park Cemetery
3. Gorton Cemetery
4. Southern Cemetery
5. Weaste Cemetery
6. Peel Green Cemetery
7. Swinton Cemetery
8. Agecroft Cemetery

With plenty of interesting history to read at information points in each location, the cemeteries will make perfect stop-offs along the route.

For those not wanting to take on the full trail, there are different routes and sections between the different locations for people of all abilities to experience. A trail map and route information are available by scanning the QR code found at information points on bike stands at each location.

With Manchester being awarded European Capital of Cycling 2024, what better way to #PedalMoreIn24. To find out more about cycling in Manchester, visit mcrcapitalofcycling24.com
