NATIONAL SQUASH CENTRE & MANCHESTER REGIONAL ARENA REFURBISHMENT
We’re delighted to let you know that Manchester City Council will be undertaking a major programme of refurbishment at the National Squash Centre and Manchester Regional Arena. This will improve the facilities and experience for all of our users.
The centre will temporarily close to all customers from the end of day on Thursday 23 April with the exception of the Outdoor Arena.
We expect the project to be completed in early 2027, with the squash courts due to re-open later this year.
The project is expected to be completed in early 2027. During this period, the squash courts and indoor arena will be temporarily closed. The outdoor arena will remain open throughout.
The facility operator, GLL, will contact all members towards the end of February with an update on the confirmed closure, and provide specific information about what this means for all user groups, including any alternative arrangements that will ensure sessions, lessons and courses continue throughout the anticipated closure period.
