The Ready Set Read Summer Libraries Challenge is here!
The Summer Reading Challenge is open to all young people across the city, children can join in the challenge online and in their local library where they’ll be given a free joining pack and incentives to get reading.
This summer’s sports theme is named ‘Ready, Set, Read’ and aims to encourage youngsters to keep their minds and bodies active over the summer holidays. Read more here.
but why stop there?
Libraries have lots of free activities for you to enjoy during the summer holidays too. Activity bags are available at select libraries with items for you to create, enjoy and spread your own games.
To help get you started, we attended Wythenshawe Forum library, picked up an activity bag and created 8 fun games for children and their families to play. Check them out below!
