“The Lloyds National Track Championships are always a highlight of the domestic calendar, and we’re delighted to be returning to Manchester in 2027. With four days of high-quality racing, national titles on the line and the country’s best riders going head-to-head, the championships promise to deliver a brilliant spectacle for fans once again.

Driving Impact Beyond the Court
Welcoming the NBA to Manchester represents far more than a single fixture. Major events like this play a vital role in strengthening relationships with key partners, stakeholders and global organisations.
By hosting teams such as the Pelicans and Spurs, Manchester has the opportunity to deepen its connections across sport, business and community networks, creating long-term value that extends well beyond the event itself.
The games will also be supported by a range of community programmes, including youth basketball clinics, coaching development and fan engagement activity, bringing the NBA experience directly into local communities.
Councillor Shazia Butt, Executive Member for Culture, Leisure and Libraries, Manchester City Council
“Manchester is a city alive with sport, with a strong track record of hosting world-class events and creating unforgettable moments for athletes and fans alike. We are delighted to welcome the National Track Championships back once again to Manchester in 2027, building on recent
success and our year as the European Capital of Cycling, which strengthened our commitment to making cycling more accessible across the city.
The National Cycling Centre, affectionately known as the ‘medal factory’, is the ideal stage for this event. As Britain’s first indoor Olympic track and home to the Great Britain Cycling Team, it remains one of the finest and fastest velodromes in the world. We know Manchester’s passionate fans will deliver another raucous welcome for all riders.”
