MANCHESTER SPORTS AWARDS 2026 NOMINATIONS

Nominations for this years Manchester Sports Awards are now OPEN.

Taking place at the Manchester Deansgate Hotel on Saturday 28 November 2026, we will welcome sporting stars, local athletes, local coaches and clubs to Manchester for a special celebration of their achievements.

NOMINATE YOUR LOCAL SPORTING / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY VOLUNTEER, COACH, ATHLETE, SCHOOL, SPORTS CLUB OR SPORTING HERO HERE.

Manchester’s community sport & physical activity scene is thriving! We and our Sporting partners in the city wish to:

  • Recognise the continued hard work of Manchester’s Volunteers, Sports clubs, coaches, Schools and talented athletes.
  • Those who support the ongoing development of sport & physical activity within Manchester each year.
  • Acknowledge Mancunian’s who work hard to make a difference through sport & physical activity making our local communities a better place to live.
  • Thank those who have gone above and beyond within the past twelve months ensuring the efforts don’t go unrecognised.

Each category will be shortlisted to three nominees who will be invited with a guest to a prestigious Awards Dinner at the Manchester Deansgate Hotel on Saturday 28 November 2026. where they will receive their award and enjoy a great night out!

DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING NOMINATIONS – MIDNIGHT SUNDAY 27 SEPTEMBER 2026

Nominate your local sporting / physical activity volunteer, coach, athlete, school, sports club or sporting hero HERE.

Nominations are open for the following categories:

  • People’s Champion / Unsung Hero – an individual who has made a significant impact within a club, school, team or community, beyond their given role
  • Sports Club of the Year – a club in the city that has made a significant impact or contribution to sport or physical activity
  • Young Volunteer of the Year – a young volunteer (under 18) who has contributed to a club, project, event or community in the last year
  • Volunteer of the Year – a volunteer who has contributed to a club, project, event or community in the last year
  • School of the Year – a school that has made a positive contribution to it’s pupils experience and attitude towards sport
  • Community Project of the Year – a sport or physical activity project that has made a difference to a community
  • Junior Sports Achiever – a young person (under 23) who has achieved within their sport in the last year
