Suitable for all abilities. Ideal for people looking to increase their physical activity levels and improve fitness. Inspiring healthy lifestyles health walks are led by volunteers and our extensive partnership across Wigan Borough to offer a varied, accessible and diverse programme of health walks to encourage people to walk more in their local area. Inspiring healthy lifestyles walks programme is ideal for people who want to improve their general health and wellbeing and provide a great opportunity to explore Wigan Borough's glorious green space in a safe and sociable atmosphere. Health walks range from shorter 30 minute walks, one hour health walks to a longer 90 minute walk. Please come prepared with suitable sturdy footwear and clothing and bring a drink. There is no need to book in advance, just turn up and you'll be made to feel very welcome. Our groups are very social and many arrange refreshments after the walk. The team also organise Nordic Walking and longer progression walks which can include more challenging terrain and intensity, which do not form part of our Walking for Health accredited programme of Health Walks.
