A 90 minute walk from Portland Basin Museum along the Peak Forest Canal and across Tame Valley. Note – the Ashton Health Walks go from different locations each Wednesday, please contact us for further details. Tameside health walks are a series of short, guided walks aimed at promoting a healthier lifestyle for older people as well as being suitable for people of varying abilities. The weekly walks are between one and three miles long and some of the longer walks have cut-offs. The walks can be taken at your own pace and are ideal for people who are not used to taking regular exercise. Each walk will be led by a qualified walk leader. This walk is arranged by Tameside Health Walks, for more information see https://www.walkingforhealth.org.uk/walkfinder/north-west/tameside-health-walks.
